✨ The Upholm-Hof (often also referred to as the barn restaurant) is a Borkum institution, known for its rustic ambiance and generous portions. It's located a bit outside the town center but is a popular destination for cyclists and walkers.

Centrally located - not far from the train station 🚂: The "New Borkum Lighthouse" stands in the western center of the island town, unmistakably massive. Built as a replacement for the burnt-out "Old Lighthouse", it has been used since November 1879 to help ships navigate at night in front of the mouth of the Ems🧭. With a height of 60.30 meters, the "New Lighthouse" also offers visitors a unique view of the island, the dune landscape, the UNESCO World Heritage Wadden Sea and the open North Sea🌊. The viewing platform can be accessed via a - rather narrow - spiral staircase with 308 steps.
