Very well-maintained, close to nature, and perfect for unwinding. The lake is fantastic for swimming and relaxing. The pitches are beautifully set in greenery, with clean restrooms and friendly staff.

If you have your bathing suit with you, you can cool off on your bike tour in the Blue Lake. The former Tonkuhle is now a bathing and fishing lake.

The castle park has existed since 2000. The manor house of Venhaus Castle was built in 1619 and converted into a church in 1770. The tower addition dates only from 1946.

The state forests, bike and hiking trails, lakes, canals, rivers and farms shape the landscape. Just as many historical buildings, monasteries, castles and churches. There are many rivers and some canals with locks such as Speller Aa, Große Aa, Ems, Mittelland Canal and Dortmund / Ems Canal, along which beautiful cycle paths run. Our excellent Blue Sea restaurant right on the sandy beach on the camping area with coffee / beer garden and outdoor snack bar and German-African cuisine as well as the excellent regional Lünner brewery beer is also worth a visit or two.
