This is a truly idyllic place to take a break. The Saßlage in Holte-Lastrup is located on a small island, home to an old half-timbered building. The old house in this idyllic setting is now very popular for weddings. "Saßlage" is the name for a water depression. This was once used to draw water for firefighting or to water livestock.

Don't be surprised, but more is better. On both sides of the bridge there is a statue of the "bridge saint" John of Nepomuk. The people of Herzlak are playing it safe ;-)

Very nice, small church with a "big" interior. A lush ensemble of pulpit, altars, communion bench and cross costume by the carver Thomas Simon Jöllemann adorns the church. Maybe you are lucky and the church is open. Then you can admire the evidence of baroque carving art extensively.

Good route to be driven, be careful not to stray from the path (slabs). Especially when it has rained, the path next to the slabs is slippery. It should work!
