Nice little woodlands, very quiet and peaceful despite being a popular dog walking area. This is my go to location for my morning walks.

Enjoy a gorgeous scene of the River Fynn meeting the Martlesham Creek before it flows into the River Deben. The wetland area is part of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is a haven for birdlife, especially migratory waders and waterfowl.

Pleasant rolling single-track lanes between Martlesham and Waldringfield.

The Maybush is a glorious little pub perched on the banks of the River Deben in Suffolk. The pub features a delightful sea-food heavy menu with the majority of fish sourced locally, and a serene waterfront beer garden where you can sit back and enjoy the views.

On the Debden Estuary, Kyson Point is a quiet spot and you may find yourself the only person out exploring. Climb up nearby Kyson Hill for even better views of the beautiful surroundings. Please check tide times before visiting as it can become impassable at high tide.

A nice sturdy section of path that brings you back round to Woodbridge. Be aware that during high tides access may be restricted.

A lovely little woodland with a few different paths to explore, Walk Farm Woods is located just by the village of Martlesham Heath. Enjoy the mixture of Scots Pine, sweet chestnut, silver birch, hawthorn and even the odd mature oak and keep your eyes peeled for snowdrops. The Sandlings Walk long-distance trail passes through the centre of the woodland.

Kyson Point is a lovely spot on the Deben Estuary, where you can find serene walking with only the sounds of birds and the wind for company. A short walk away is the National Trust-owned Kyson Hill, which rewards with fine views of the estuary. Ensure you're aware of tide times, as Kyson Point can be impassable during high tides.
