Centrally located opposite Egmating Castle, this Catholic parish church features a Romanesque choir tower with an attached two-story sacristy and a nave with a steep gable roof. Built around 1200, it was later expanded in the late Middle Ages and the early 17th century. As is often the case, the church is surrounded by a beautiful cemetery with a large cemetery cross with a cast-iron body on a wooden cross dating from around 1900.

The pilgrimage church of St. Leonhard is a little off the beaten track, on the southern outskirts of the village of Siegertsbrunn. The Siegertsbrunner Leonhardikirche is one of the oldest and most important of its kind in old Bavaria. In the 16th century pilgrims came here from a radius of up to 200 km. In its present form, the Leonhardikirche goes back to the Wittelsbachs. According to legend, the founder of the village, Sigoho, built a wooden chapel on the site of today's church around the year 1000, but the first documented mention of a stone church dates back to 1460. According to the latest findings, the start of construction is probably as early as 1440. For centuries, the Leonhardi Festival has taken place in Siegertsbrunn on the first Sunday after Kilian (July 8th). The Steinsee is an idyllic lake that invites you to swim and linger in shady places. There is a lido with a children's playground, kiosk, sanitary facilities and a restaurant.
