The old railway line Kaufbeuren - Schongau leads through the beautiful Allgäu landscape with little elevation change. Unfortunately, the tarmac ends in the Sachsenrieder Forest - and later the path on the railway embankment. (Unfortunately, it was not converted into a cycle path all the way to Schongau at the time). The path is used in many different ways. Walkers - including those with dogs, rollerbladers of all ages, sports and leisure cyclists - all come here. On weekends with good weather, it can be a little difficult for the fast cyclist.

The brewery is located in the Kaltental district of Aufkirch. The Egger family established the brewing tradition there as early as 1860. From 1920 to 1990 the historically valuable house with vaulted rooms and cellars was then used for agriculture. The restoration of the pub brewery with small brewery and visible brewing and storage process took place from 2005. The 3 types of beer produced in-house taste excellent and can be enjoyed in the beautiful beer garden or in the brewery itself, with the dining room dominated by the copper kettle.
