The Maria Hilf Chapel in Speiden, located on the church square, is a small chapel of grace with great historical significance. It was built in 1635 by Christian Steinacher after his daughter was spared the plague by praying before a cross. The chapel formed the origin of the pilgrimage in Speiden, which later led to the construction of today's Maria Hilf pilgrimage church. Today, the chapel stands directly next to the church and is a testament to popular piety in the Allgäu region. It continues to attract pilgrims and visitors and is an important part of the region's religious tradition.

The Ach, also called Hopfensee-Ach, is the outflow of the Hopfensee. It flows through the Ostallgäu and finally flows into the Lech. The Ach plays an important role in the water regulation and the ecological cycle of the lake. Together, the Hopfensee and the Ach offer natural relaxation and are a wonderful example of the harmonious connection of lakes and rivers in the Alpine landscape.

The Hopfensee drains to the south via the Hopfensee Ach/Achen. After a bend to the east, the Ach flows into the Forggensee. Depending on the light, the Hopfensee Ach offers a worthwhile photo opportunity next to the lake.

The wooden bridge here leads over the Hopfensee-Ache, which runs almost parallel to the shore of the Hopfensee. From the bridge you have a beautiful view of the stream and the lake. Take a short break and enjoy the great views.

The mountains in the background as a backdrop, the wonderful view over the Hopfensee, a really beautiful sight. The circuit around the lake is an experience, easy to navigate paths, stays in the memory. Also worth it as a destination for a tour, worth seeing.
