Nagelfluh on the Hochgrat: Striking peaks and rocky ridges characterize the mountain range that stretches from the Mittagberg near Immenstadt across the Hochgrat to the Bregenz Forest. The rocks, which have been "baked" into conglomerate from scree, look as if nails had been driven deep into them, leaving only the heads visible, which is why they are also called "Nagelfluh."

From the bench you have a magnificent view of the Nagelfluhkette with Hochhäderich, Falken, Eineguntkopf, Hohenfluhalpkopf, framed by Imberg on the right and Spitzlerberg on the left.

At the Hochsiedelalpe, which is not managed, one of the most beautiful crocus blossoms can be found at Hündle in Oberstaufen (Konstanz Valley/ Oberallgäu) from February to April.

The mountain station of the Hündlebahn is the ideal starting point for hiking and mountain tours. Down in the valley station there are some posters with various circular routes on them. We decided to hike the adventure hiking trail.
