Zeppelin Field and Zeppelin Grandstand, Nuremberg The Zeppelin Grandstand is a grandstand built between 1935 and 1937. The Zeppelin Field and the Zeppelin Grandstand are the only buildings on the former Nazi Party Rally Grounds that were completed and used as parade grounds by the Nazis. However, after parts of the site were demolished, the area can no longer be seen in its original condition. Due to extensive structural damage, the Zeppelin Grandstand is currently only partially accessible, and the Zeppelin Field and the ramparts are also closed to visitors. Part of the field is currently used by sports clubs as a training and match venue. With the planned structural improvements and the creation of a learning and meeting place in the coming years up to 2030, the Zeppelin Field and the Zeppelin Grandstand, including the interior, are to be opened to the public. History of the Site The Zeppelin Field, part of the Dutzendteich Public Park, was already used as a meeting place during the 1933 Nazi Party Rally. The following year, Albert Speer received a commission from Adolf Hitler to develop an overall plan for the Nazi Party Rally Grounds, in which the field would serve as the center of a parade and assembly area. The entire complex, including the Zeppelin Grandstand, field, and ramparts, was built between 1935 and 1937. Beautiful view of the Nazi Party Rally Grounds

The Imperial Castle in the middle of the city of Nuremberg could have been the trigger for the national movement, especially here, with the associated events in this terrible time being the trigger for the special loot here in Nuremberg.

Beautiful local recreational destination in the southern part of Nuremberg. Very spacious, close to nature, ideal with children... and also steeped in history!

From here you have a beautiful view of the never-completed Congress Hall. The Congress Hall (which also houses the documentation center), the "Große Straße" and the Zeppelin Field with its grandstand are the last visible reminders of the Nazi Party Rally Grounds. A walk around the Dutzendsee is recommended, as you can always get a beautiful view of the Congress Hall.
