1월 13, 2025, Neustadt an der Aisch Old Town and Market Square
The billy goat can be seen and heard on the tower of the town hall every day at 12 noon. Before the baroque town hall, commissioned by Friedrich von Obernitz, was built with six trading vaults ("benches") for various trades and the pillory facing Kirchgasse on the north side, a department store belonging to the Margrave stood in its place until the devastating town fire of 1553. In April 1947, a fire occurred in the town hall. From 1948 to 1951, the town hall was rebuilt with some innovations such as the conversion of the round arches on the ground floor into arcades and the addition of the town hall tower with the billy goat.

The brewery inn "Kohlenmühle" is a top address as a reward after a hike in/around Neustadt a.d. Aisch, especially when the weather is nice, with its cozy beer garden including mega-tasty "Moggerla" & saulegger-crispy Schäuferla! 😋🍺⚫️🍗👌🏼🔝

Neustadt / Aisch is the district town and has approx. 13,000 inhabitants and the corresponding infrastructure. Supermarket, discounters, bakers, butchers, bicycle shops... Beautiful city center with cafes, restaurants, ice cream parlor...

Neustadt an der Aisch (officially Neustadt a.d. Aisch) is the district town in the Aisch valley and, along with Bad Windsheim, one of the two centers of the Middle Franconian district of Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim. It is one of 13 efficient district municipalities in Bavaria. Historically, Neustadt (first named as such around 1285) emerged in the 13th century as a "new town" created by Nuremberg burgraves from the southern part of the former royal court of Riedfeld, which has been documented since around 741 and is now a district of Neustadt.
