The parish church of St. Mary's Assumption impresses with its bright, spacious interior, even though it is smaller than its predecessor, the Auber Minster. The chancel, with its magnificent Baroque high altar, survived the damage of the Second World War unscathed. An exceptional highlight is the Crucifixion group by Tilman Riemenschneider from 1510. It is located on the left side as you enter from the main entrance. It is worth turning on the lighting.

Visit the Kaffee Aulbach in Aub

The first documented church building in Aub dates from 1136. The cathedral was planned as a three-aisled hall church with a western porch, a recessed choir and a choir flank tower with a pyramid roof; the western building dates from 1275 to 1280. The cathedral was Our Lady until 1464 in the Au parish and monastery church of the Benedictine provost of Aub and about a third larger than today's church.

Worth a visit.
