The ruins of Bramberg Castle are located within the Haßberge Nature Park on the summit of the 494.3-meter-high Bramberg, an extinct volcanic cone of the Heldburg Gangschar, approximately 2 kilometers northwest of the village of Bramberg, a western district of Ebern, and about 5 kilometers (as the crow flies) northeast of the city of Königsberg in Bavaria. The Catholic hall church dates from the early Rococo period and was built between 1732 and 1735 under Karl Friedrich Wilhelm von Erthal. It consists of a nave with three bays and a recessed choir closed on three sides and the sacristy attached to it in the east. The ashlar masonry façade in the west, which is divided by pilasters, is covered with a tail gable. Above the roof of the choir rises an octagonal, slate-covered roof turret, which houses the bell tower behind the sound arcades and is covered with an onion dome. The church furnishings date from the time of construction. The building is registered in the Bavarian monument list.
