The bell tower was built early in the 14th century in the Decorated Gothic style. A chapel was added at the east end of the north aisle. Lovely Cotswold pub in the centre of beautiful Cotswold village, they always have several excellent beers on taps and tasty bar snacks (the chips are excellent) as well as meals for the hungry walker.

The market hall was built in 1627 to provide a shelter for traders. In the 1940s it was almost sold to an American, but the local people raised enough money to buy it instead and gave it to the National Trust to preserve. This is the start of the Cotswold Way. Nice field and ruins by the side of the road. Also good for walks into Chipping Campden. Coming at it from Shipston it's a nice little kicker up the road to Coneygree. Push hard and then roll into Chipping Campden for a coffee and cake.
