Interesting facility on the lake

Our Lady's Oak In 1632, during the Thirty Years' War, the nearby pilgrimage chapel "Maria Schray" was destroyed. According to legend, the image of Our Lady flew into a hollow oak tree in the Neidling Forest. Since the image's return, which was later replaced by a statue, the Our Lady's Oak has been venerated. Renovated in 2022 and relocated to a young oak tree.

Beautiful bench in the middle of Neidling

The Maria Schray church on the outskirts of Pfullendorf is a baroque church and is a meeting point for pilgrims. The Pfullendorf Pilgrim Church dates back to the 13th century in its original form. The church was almost completely destroyed in the Thirty Years' War. Today the Maria Schray Church is a stop on the Upper Swabian Baroque Route. Maria Schray was mentioned in documents in the 13th century. It underwent a change in the late Gothic style in the 15th century. In the 17th century, the church was renovated in Baroque style, after which the church was burned by the Swedes in July 1632, during the Thirty Years' War, and those present were killed by the soldiers.
