As a well-preserved and superbly maintained half-timbered town centre with castle and church, it is highly recommended for a stroll.

The friendship path was worthwhile for the beautiful views of Lake Constance and Heiligenberg Castle.

With children at the playground on the gently sloping pebble beach - very nice, trees on the square and water jet fountain with rivulets - great for the whole family 👍

Great view of the Shcloss and the Salemertal. ________ As early as 1688 a little house was built into the rock, as is still evident today from a chimney led through the rock, but this seems to have suffered greatly over time due to its location on the weather side. The cottage was occupied by a day laborer. In a petition to Prince Joseph Wenzel zu Fürstenberg in 1765, Hans Georg Sauter von Leustetten, the "Hüllelein- or Felsenmann" complained that he had already been "about 30 years old" with a very bad apartment in a rock next to the Heiligenberg, called the Hüllele - derived from the diminutive form of Höhle = Höhlele - had to be content..
