Beautiful benches, seating areas, and panoramic loungers are scattered along the Rems River 🌊 - Waiblingen - Rems-Murr district

Probably the oldest of the larger bridges in the Rems-Murr district. During the Thirty Years' War (1643), it was the site of a skirmish between Bavarian and French-Swedish troops. It was filled in in 1975 and partially uncovered again in 2018 for the 2019 Remstal Garden Show.

As part of the Remstal Garden Show 2019, the Mühlwiesen, a green space directly on the banks of the Rems River in the Großheppach district of Weinstadt, were transformed into a park-like area. In addition to direct access to the water with seating terraces and a playground, a new playground and an open-air area for various events were also created.

The idea for a green center in Weinstadt has existed for several decades – and in 2017, it was finally realized with financial support from the federal government through two funding programs (National Urban Development Projects and Experimental Housing and Urban Development). This is a very special distinction. The federal program "National Urban Development Projects" specifically supports innovative projects with significant benefits for the respective community. In Weinstadt, the goal is the creation of a permanent public park, designed and maintained through broad community involvement.

The cycle path between Vogelmühle and Remseck-Neckarrems is permanently closed. The path along the forest (Wehhalde) in Hegnach is also currently closed.
