A beautiful path that follows the meanders of the Rems river past expansive meadows. Very idyllic and highly recommended.

The Remstal Viaduct between Waiblingen and Neustadt was built between 1875 and 1876 and spans the Rems River between Neustadt and Hohenacker. The viaduct is part of the Murr Valley Railway, is 45 meters high and 240 meters long, and was opened in 1876. Neustadt was given its own station. On April 21, 1945, a section of the viaduct was senselessly blown up by members of the Wehrmacht. However, the viaduct was repaired by the summer of 1946 by installing a temporary support pier. The Murr Valley Railway was double-tracked and electrified between Waiblingen and Schwäbisch Hall in 1965. It is now part of the Stuttgart–Nuremberg railway line. In 1981, the Neustadt-Hohenacker station was connected to the S-Bahn (suburban railway).

The historic Vogelmühle (Bird Mill) is idyllically situated on the Rems River within the Lower Rems Valley landscape and nature reserve. It was built in 1864 by miller Lauer, along with a bakehouse. Until the late 1970s, flour was milled and bread sold at the mill, which had been acquired by Karl Vogel in the 1930s. In 1985, the property was auctioned off, and the city of Waiblingen won the bid. The Waiblingen municipal utilities took over the former mill building to harness its hydropower for electricity generation. The building and the turbine were extensively renovated.

A pleasant, not too steep climb to the Ostlandkreuz. Unfortunately, the paved paths are in very poor condition.

A mixed trail with flow, rough root sections, and enduro sections. Not particularly difficult to ride, but you should have a relatively confident riding style. Unfortunately, the trail has been quite badly damaged in places by riding in wet conditions and has a few ruts. The trail is still rideable.

A very nice, well-maintained trail. Very easy to ride, even for beginners.
