The church is dedicated to the patron saints Basilides, Quirinus, and Nabor, and officially bears these names. According to legend, Basilides and his companions were Roman soldiers who lived and preached the Christian faith during the reign of Emperor Diocletian. They are said to have perished in the persecutions of Christians around the turn of the fourth century. A church is believed to have existed in "Wächlingen" as early as the Frankish period in the late 8th century. The tower choir of our church dates from the Romanesque period and was rebuilt in the Gothic style in 1370. Around this time, the parish of Ohrnberg also became independent. The church's current appearance is characterized by later construction work: for example, the church building was significantly enlarged after the Reformation. Until 1564, the cemetery surrounded the church, but it was then relocated (it was established at its current location west of the Ohrn River around 1860). Today, we very much enjoy using the beautiful church garden: we often hold services here in the summer. Our little hut also provides a space for coffee and conversation after church services. On some weekends, we also offer a relaxing stop for cyclists traveling along the Kocher and Ohrn rivers. The tower's distinctive octagonal spire dates back to 1701. As part of current renovations, the tower's timber framing is being replastered. This protects the timbers and restores the original appearance, as the timber framing was not originally exposed.

St. Michael's Church ⛪ dates back to the 14th century and still shapes the village today. It is picturesquely situated at the confluence of the Ohrn and Kocher rivers, has a striking chancel tower, and has been renovated several times.

Here the Kocher is dammed and runs parallel to the river through the valley.
