The elevation information has since disappeared from the sign. At 933 meters, it is the highest Black Forest pass north of the Murg River. The Murg side is significantly steeper and has a higher elevation gain than the Enz side. Coming from Reichental, the climb is also nicknamed the "Kaltenbronner Wand," reflecting its challenging nature.

Great views of the Murg Valley and the Rhine plain. The panoramic view is even better if you climb the tower. The road leading up has been patched several times and is quite steep, so be careful on the descent.

The Pfarrberg, located on the northwestern edge of the village, was a wildly overgrown and largely inaccessible hill until Hurricane Lothar (December 1999). Afterward, it was transformed into a nature experience and recreation area. Visitors won't find a sensory park, but they can experience nature with all of its diverse flora and fauna. The Pfarrberg, unique and unmistakable.

One of the best spots for sunsets. After a rather tough climb, the impressive panoramic view over the Murg Valley, the Rhine Plain, and the Vosges Mountains (which can also be viewed via webcam) is a reward. However, the summit is regularly very busy on weekends. Since cars and motorcycles can drive up to the summit, the approach and descent on the narrow, winding road can be quite stressful when there's a lot of traffic, so it's better to come during the week. The inn is closed then, however – it's only open Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
