The village boasts a collection of well-preserved Georgian buildings, which gives it a charming atmosphere. Many good pubs but if you fancy a coffee or a lite bite try Flootes

The MK Rose is a big round monument in Campbell Park, with lots of different height & coloured pillars arranged in concentric circles around a central point. 'Designed for commemoration, celebration and contemplation' according to the website... certainly an interesting sight if you've never seen it or found it by accident like me lol.

You can cross the River Ouzel here on a wooden bridge by cycle or rest as the Picnic Bench and if you are very lucy see a Kingfisher

When you visit All Saints’ Church it is hard to think that you are in Milton Keynes at all. This tiny oasis of rurality feels a million miles from the roundabouts, steel and glass of the new town. A truly beautiful location.

This is a beautiful pristine woodland and a prime time mountain biking area with a multitude of trails. If you are in the habit of running with your music on be wary of the bikers.

Woburn is a charming English village lined with picturesque cottages and well-preserved architecture. Discover unique cafés, cosy pubs and traditional pubs, as well as the magnificent Woburn Abbey located just outside of town.

New Wavendon Heath is situated at the southern end of Aspley Wood. The woods are filled with beautiful towering trees and have a number of interconnected trails that run through every corner. The woods are a popular destination for mountain bikers, so be mindful of your step.

Often busy with children feeding ducks, walkers enjoying the canalscape or moored boats heading to Tesco Supermarket or the town. If you want a quicker route take Vimy Road or one of the cycle paths ether side of the River Ouzel

This scenic section with a lock segment is popular with walkers and cyclists heading from Leighton Buzzard Town to the Globe Inn. Twelve Arches Weir (originally built with 12 arches, later expanded to 15) discharges overflow water from the Grand Union into the River Ouzel - quite an impressive sight after heavy rain.

This segment of the canal is quite rural in character despite being close to Linslade/Leighton Buzzard. You will often see Heron's waiting patiently and if you approach quietly you stand a good chance of getting close.

Some good views over Milton Keynes

Flootes is a Coffee Shop, Cafe, Wine Bar & Off License. Open from 8.00-5.00 p.m. Monday-Friday, 9.00-5.00 p.m. Saturday & Sunday. Handy for a quick cycling coffee. Witha bike the best option is to enter Flootes from the rear entrance to sit in the courtyard or inside. Other options are to sit on the benches at the front of the property

From this point on the Grand Union Canal you can take the linking cycle path to the River Ouzel Cycle Trail (https://www.komoot.com/highlight/2852096) or follow the Grand Union Canal. Both are well surfaced and suitable for walking or cycling.
