Got climbs here and there. None of them are major grades nor long climbs. Challenging for some, but manageable for sure. The satisfaction of the climb challenges combined with the beauty of this lane was a dopamine and serotonin hit. Definitely coming back.

Absolute gem of a cycling cafe. Fantastic friendly team. The bestest coffee by Doe & Fawn and amazing cakes.....if you haven't been you're missing a treat. Safe bike parking too.

Generally a good asphalt surface but a few spots of rain swept gravel. Lovely views of surrounding countrysides especially at the summit

New owners, new name, which was confusing as was following Komoot and Musette Cafe is the location of the previous owners and pre refurb! lovely space, friendly and helpful staff. 100% worth a stop on a ride around the Chilterns. Update: Had Komoot update the name of the location, so you aren't confused in late 2023 and beyond.

Reopened in October 2023 with a refurbishment and new owners. Still an excellent stopping place with good coffee and cake

The foundation for the original building was laid in 1280, where it was a Gatehouse for the northern approach to Ashridge and was used by Henry VIII as part of the hunting grounds. But following heavy damage by Cromwells armies, the lodge was rebuilt by the eminent architect Sir Jeffrey Wyattville in 1823. Little Gaddesden Lodge now functions extremely well as a private home.

Some great views of Ivinghoe Beacon at the summit where the Ridgway path crosses the lane.

Watch for pedestrians using all the path area, not all are aware of the lane disciplines required. Vehicles are parked in the cycle lane regularly whilst dog walkers use the fields. In the autumn, bushes are trimmed and the paths are not swept afterwards. Look out for thorns and sharp sticks.

Stunning, appears out of nowhere!

Beautiful views of the reservoir - usually as still as a duck pond. And if you're lucky you'll see some actual ducks too!

A nice stretch of road on the edge of The Chilterns. Quiet and usually car free, but don't forget the small climb at the end.

Great cyclist-friendly café with racks to leave your bike. They even sell veloforte products! Great amostphere and friendly staff.

Mini Castle, how could you not like it.
