The farm shop is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., where you can also sit comfortably at a table and find farm-related and regional products. The pub with its beautiful garden is open on Fridays from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Saturdays from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and Sundays from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The Hurbig mountain is 546 meters above sea level and towers above the village of Buchberg. It features a cozy fire pit with benches and a grill. A playground is located next to it. The simple Hurbig hut can be rented for just CHF 10 per day.

A little off the panoramic trail, two stately linden trees originally stood. These were called Marchlinden trees. March is an old name for border. Therefore, they served as border and orientation trees for pilgrims making their way to the Rhine ford (below Tössegg). Until the beginning of the 20th century, the Marchlinden trees were one of the last places of justice where courts were still held. According to the information board, the trees were planted in 1315. Wind and weather have left their mark over this long period, and a storm felled one of the large linden trees in 2007. A new tree was planted in its place. The second linden tree then felled victim to a storm in 2023. A second, smaller tree has since been planted. Today, the trunk lying there provides a habitat for insects and small animals.

Buchberg is the highest part of Rüdlingen, it stretches from the banks of the Rhine up to the mountain. I also drove the route today and accompanied my grandson the last part to school, which is behind the church. From the church you can drive down the mountain in all directions.
