Challenging walk with beautiful views. Protection in hot weather necessary, many open spaces.

From here you can walk in the nature park. The border with Montenegro is not far away. There is a small entrance fee next to Trnovačko jezero. You can find out about prices and rules on the information table here.

If you choose this route to the summit, you can't miss this lake. It is located in Piva Nature Park in Montenegro. I really liked it here. You can camp or swim. There is a small hut next to it where you can buy drinks. To cross the nature park you have to pay a small fee.

There are several routes to the summit. One comes from Prijevor and is quite steep and not so safe. You can also get to the summit from Montenegro. The route is not so strenuous there. Of course you can do both routes - there and back, as in my case. The view from Maglić is very beautiful. There are also quite a few people on the way.

Attention: Komoot indicates a descent over the summit. We didn't find this path, but ended up in steep, dangerous terrain. Descending via the castle to the car park is better and the path to the monastery is not far either.

This is the second and last crux. About 20m steep uphill. I would estimate C to easy D due to the hand strength required.
