Jenbach station in Tyrol is a unique transportation hub, connecting three different track gauges and railway systems. It is particularly famous as the starting point of the historic Achensee Railway, a cog railway that connects Jenbach with Lake Achensee. Opened in 1889, the Achensee Railway is the oldest steam-powered cog railway in Europe still in operation. The line begins at Jenbach Station, which, with the help of a cog system, climbs the steep slope to Seespitz on Lake Achensee. The station itself still houses historic railway equipment and steam locomotives, making the town a popular destination for railway enthusiasts. In addition to the Achensee Railway, the Zillertal Railway (narrow gauge) and ÖBB (standard gauge) trains also run through Jenbach Station, making it a unique railway in Austria. Those traveling by bike can use the station as a starting point for tours into the Zillertal Valley, Lake Achensee, or along the Inn Cycle Path.

The "Mariengarten" herb garden in Schlitters in the Zillertal Valley is a lovingly landscaped display garden that has delighted visitors with over 50 different medicinal and aromatic herbs since its opening in August 2017. Initiated by the Zillertal Medicinal Herb Friends Association, the garden is maintained by dedicated volunteers and offers a holistic experience centered around the power of nature. Annual events such as the Herb Garden Festival on August 15th, which features herb blessings, music, regional specialties, and homemade cakes, are particularly appealing. Small workshops – for example, on making herb bouquets for the Assumption of Mary or on making natural remedies – also enrich the offerings. The garden is idyllically situated at the entrance to the Zillertal Valley at about 550m above sea level and is easily accessible by bike – ideal for a relaxing stop by the bike. Here, you can unwind after a long day of cycling, stroll through the fragrant flowerbeds, gain knowledge of herbs, and experience the connection between nature, tradition, and regional culture firsthand.

In 2005, the new Notburga Bridge over the Inn River between Buch in Tyrol and Jenbach was opened. It commemorates St. Notburga, who, according to legend, was born in Rattenberg in the 13th century, worked at Rottenburg Castle, and was buried in the Notburga Church in Eben am Achensee.
