Lake Walchsee, at the foot of the imposing Kaiser Mountains, is not only one of the most beautiful but also one of the warmest lakes in Tyrol. This makes it a popular bathing lake and a true flagship of the Kaiserwinkl region in the Tyrolean lowlands – in fact, Lake Walchsee was even immortalized with a blue wave in the village coat of arms of the municipality of the same name. Walschsee, where you can enjoy many sports on and around the lake. In the villages, there are beaches, restaurants, beer gardens, and overnight accommodations.

A very beautiful wooden structure, completed in 2004 as a normal open bridge. During the use of the bridge, which is just over 50 meters wide, it was discovered that the structure could be damaged over time by environmental influences, so in 2022 it was decided to provide the bridge with a roof and thus continue its use as a covered bridge.

A beautiful, quiet village that serves as a starting point for various hikes and mountain tours. The parish church and the adjacent village square serve as the center of the village. The village itself boasts inns, guesthouses, and a cheese dairy. If you wander through the village, you'll find many interesting spots.

The water flows from the lake via the approximately 500-meter-long Walchseebach stream on the eastern side into the Weißenbach stream. This stream, in turn, flows via the Kohlenbach stream into the Großache stream, which empties into Lake Chiemsee near Grabenstätt.
