Green Dragon pub loos nice

This is one of England's tallest remaining maypoles. It is a striped pole that stands over 20 metres high. It has been present since the days of Shakespeare, and its original incarnation was made of wood (until it was struck by lightning and destroyed). The current pole is made of aluminium and is officially a Grade II historical monument listed by English Heritage.

Historic Warwickshire town. Many places to stop for food and drink, or just a look around.

Nice bridge but a bit of a bugger to cross

9th August it was uncomfortably deep. while pedalling feet were submerged to the ankle. It’s a lovely country lane but maybe skip it if there has been recent rain

Very nice. Often stop here as it’s on my 30 miler round trip. Wonderful granola/flapjack full of cranberry, pumpkin seed etc. plus everything you expect in a good farm shop.

When crossing stay on left side, right side very slippy specially in winter. I was fully submerged with my bike in February last year 🤿

Originally a medieval church, St Giles has been added to throughout the centuries. The nave and chancel are thought to date from the 13th century, the tower from the 14th century, the north aisle from the 17th century. Most recently, the south aisle was constructed in 1842, and the vestry in 1885.

Quirky converted train carriage that's a great little cafe. Well placed on the Stratford-upon-Avon Greenway just outside Stratford. Closed on Mondays but open 9am to 4pm every other day.

A beautiful church with some unusual architectural features.

What a hoot! Not too deep and a good surface underneath the water. The amount to get wet will depend on your speed... slow and you'll stay dry... fast and you'll have a massive smile on your face... and wet legs!
