The hut is unmanned, but it's a cozy place to rest on sturdy wooden benches and tables. If you're climbing from Schneebergdörfl, you've definitely earned a rest. After all, you've already climbed about 500 meters in altitude.

The Kaiserstein (2,061 m) marks one of the most famous points on the Schneeberg. A memorial plaque commemorates the ascents of Emperor Franz I in 1805 and 1807. From the summit, you can enjoy an impressive panorama of the Rax, the Vienna Basin, and, on a clear day, all the way to the Hohe Tauern—a place steeped in history and offering breathtaking views.

The Edelweiss Hut on the Schneeberg (1,235 m) is idyllically located at the end of the toll road and is a popular starting point for hikes. From here, you can already enjoy beautiful views of the Schneeberg massif and fortify yourself with regional delicacies. It's a cozy place to stop for a break, rest, and start your hike.

The Fadensteig is one of the most popular, yet more challenging, ascent routes up the Schneeberg. Steep paths and rocky sections quickly gain elevation and are repeatedly rewarded with impressive views along the way. A route for sure-footed hikers who appreciate alpine terrain and magnificent panoramas.

The hut, located on the north side of the Schneeberg, in the Breiten Ries, is a mountain rescue shelter. It was named after Ferdinand Bürkle, a co-founder of the Viennese alpine rescue service. Bürkle, born on January 1, 1857 in Bürs/Vorarlberg, trained as a teacher in Innsbruck and then worked as a teacher in Puchberg for over 20 years. He was a strict vegetarian and did not drink alcohol. He supported the villagers in every way, took on official and legal matters, and based on his idea, a dairy cooperative was founded there.

The fisherman's hut is located at an altitude of 2049 m, making it the highest mountain hut in Lower Austria. And it was very well attended and you can also stay overnight
