Nice fortress ruin overseeing the Thaya. Unfortunately, it's not allowed to drive a bike in the park, so we had to leave the bikes at the park entrance and do some hiking to get there. It's rather steep too, so biking would not have been such a great idea anyway. 😅

The Mariengrotte is a 15-meter-high half-cave beneath the Falkenstein castle ruins, which was designed as a Lourdes grotto in 1889. The larger-than-life statues - of the Mother of God and St. Bernadette - are the work of Theodor Haf from Pfronten, a sculptor in Munich.

A very nice place with a view of Pálava, Pavlov and the surrounding area. VN Nové Mlýny is also in the palm of your hand. For a fee: there is a cash desk at the entrance. However, a QR code for online payment is published here. The ruin is otherwise freely accessible!

This baroque brick bridge is parallel to the actual cycle path. Around 1630 this bridge was built as the only way to a hunting lodge on an island, at that time still in Lower Austria. Over time, the bridge became a border bridge, after all it was entirely on Czechoslovakian territory. After the railway was built, it was left to its own devices and renovated a few years ago.
