St Mary’s church Hemyock appeared on the show”Blind Date” in 2008 The church can be traced back to 1120 and Hemyock castle adjacent was a focal point of clashes during the civil war fought between Cromwell and his parliamentarians (Roundheads) and the the royalists under the King Charles 1.

This is a great little store/coffee shop on Culmstock. In recent years it has added a brand new coffee machine and the taste and aroma is wonderful. The food is also excellent….so if passing do check out, you won’t be disappointed 😀

Great pub to stop off for a drink or a bite to eat. Good food, beers and also good coffee. Nice people and what looks like an amazing garden for in the summer, but indoors is also nice and cosy if it's cold.

The village of Cockwood boasts a beautiful tidal harbour. Situated on the western bank of the Exe Estuary, Cockwood boasts two of the most idyllic pubs in the region, plus historic buildings, accommodation and other attractions.

Coldharbour Mill has been in production since 1797 and is one of the oldest mills in UK. It is a working museum where you can watch skilled tradespeople work with wool and yarn in traditional ways. Cockwood Harbour is famous for the railway line which runs on the narrow strip of land between the harbour and the sea. The line continues to Dawlish where it hugs the coastline and gives unrivalled views of the sea.
