A lot of money has been invested in cyclist safety here. The construction of the cycle path under the road bridge over the Pielach River has eliminated an accident hotspot. Years ago, road crossings were required here. However, caution is advised; the road is confusing, and the center line is there for a reason! A little further toward Melk, another underpass was built, eliminating a bottleneck and diverting cyclists from the next road junction.

Albrechtsberg Castle was built in the late 11th century and was first mentioned in a document in 1147. The originally Gothic castle seat was later converted into a Renaissance castle. Very well developed and signposted bike path, fun to drive

Nice trip along the Danube, good restaurant (Aggsteinerhof) along the way! As a bonus, the climb up the Wolfsteingraben: not too steep, but still challenging. Finally, a rapid descent to Loosdorf. All in all, a nice afternoon tour.

Good connection Melk / Pielachtal cycle path, with beautiful river views.

The mostly pleasantly flat Pielachtal cycle path is directly connected to the Danube cycle path and leads from Melk upstream through the Mostviertel and is ideal for families, leisure cyclists and those who flee the city.
