Great hiking trail, good footwear and sure-footedness are advantageous.

From the Slovenian side, the gravel is perfectly rideable. Easy gravel/forest path. However, parts of the descent into Austria are significantly more difficult on gravel. Not much fun, but a lot of technical stuff. More for experienced mountain bikers.

At the summit of Mount Dobratsch are two churches, both dedicated to the Assumption of Mary. The Windische Kirche (Slovenian Church) was built in 1690 by a noblewoman following an apparition of the Virgin Mary, but due to disagreements with the landowners, it was built a little lower down from the site of the apparition. But the faithful did not give up, and in 1692 a second church, the German Chapel, was consecrated on the exact same site.

Located below the summit cross and not immediately visible from afar ... very impressive and inside there are candles that you can light for a small donation to the upkeep of the church

A path has been trampled here, leading to a swimming area. Such paths exacerbate the already increasing erosion. I strongly recommend avoiding it. 🙄🙈

As soon as you see the waterfall, the climb becomes quite challenging. There are ropes and footholds leading up to the bridge. Anyone who wants to stand directly in front of the waterfall should wear sturdy hiking boots and, ideally, a helmet, even though the difficult climb through the crevasse only takes a few minutes and is secured with ropes in places.

Beautiful view of the Julian Alps. Unfortunately, it's also the only great one on the Three Countries Tour (apart from the cable car station and the border triangle), as the tour runs beautifully through the forest.

It is better to hike up the waterfall as it is quite slippery in places.
