Great place to ride in the winter as it drains well and is easy to avoid more challenging muddy areas if needed , beautiful location with great views lots of trails to find also on adjoining Thursley and Frensham Commons

Fast section of road, take advantage whilst it’s still running fast!

A cute little village, Elstead is set around a village green and on the River Wey. It is surrounded by commons and boasts two good pitstops, Cafe 172 and the Little Barn Cafe. In June every year the village is taken over for one night for the Elstead Village Marathon. If you're nearby and into running as well as cycling its well worth entering, or just coming along to watch. Its far from a marathon distance, with either 5 or 8 km routes on offer which wind through the forests and an infamous river crossing right near the end.

Bubble and squeak with a poached egg was excellent.

Bridleway on the outskirts of Thursley Common, sandy and nearly always dry. One of my favourite paths to use for long off-road routes.
