It's worth noting that the pictures here are of Devil's Humps (10 mins away) not Bow Hill. This marker is in the middle of some woodland without a view (but you do walk past a good view as you turn off the main path!)

This is a short section of the escape route used by King Charles II in 1651 after being defeated in the battle of Worcester. Beautiful downhill gradient leading to a dairy farm.

Stoughton village is a beautiful spot and it's just North of Kingley Vale Nature Reserve and nearby Stoughton Down. Stoughton is one of the best places from which to explore Kingley Vale and there's a useful car park at the botton of Lambdown Hill. There is also a large beautiful church tucked away down a narrow lane leading up a small hill here.

East Marden's is noted for its beautiful church and rare thatched well which creates the illusion that the village is 'frozen in time.' This is simply a beautiful quaint village to watch and not touch!
