Nice place for a stop a lot to see,eat and recoup for your ride

The rumble strips really took me by surprise but they have ways to get around them. Surface of the road is alright but nothing special. I cycled it around 4:30pm so it was as busy as it gets, which was moderate, certainly nothing too upsetting. Views off to Wales and the Bristol Channel islands.

You can also hire bikes and charge an EV at Cafe 33. Open typically mid March to September.

Flooded and overgrown

Totney Drove road across the Westhay Levels south of Wedmore. It's a long flat road barley higher than sea level so susceptible to flooding in the winter. The River Brue runs to the south and North Drain runs to the north.

Kewstoke Road between the northern edge of Weston Wood and the Bristol Channel. You can see across to Wales on a clear day.

A rather lung busting effort to get up here but the rewards are enormous, the view over Burnham on Sea and Brent Knoll are awesome, well worth a trip.

Good choices, wonderfully clean toilets. Nice map on the toilet wall showing what will happen to the area if/when the ice caps all melt! Gulp.

Run by Vicky & Rob Sweet - local riders know the spot and Saturday mornings see many club groups arrive. Tor 2000 run a 'Youth Ride' from Sweets at 10am on Saturdays.

Good quality road where you can build up some speed - just watch out for the rumble strips!

Cycling Mecca. Rachel and the staff are great. So accommodating to cyclists. A regular stop.

Nice on a sunny day. Lots of typical seaside foods and games avaliable. No real secure bike parking so best to go with a group to ensure plenty of bike minders.
