Kelston Roundhill affords spellbinding views over Bath, Bristol and Somerset. In clear conditions, you can see both Severn bridges, across to Wales and the Black Mountains, the Wiltshire Downs in the east and the Mendip Hills in the south. The countryside in this neck of the woods is magnificent; a picturesque and quintessentially-English patchwork. A superb section of the Cotswold Way runs over the hill, too.

Dundry Hill East at 160m is one of the 184 UK County/Unitary High Points. It is the HP for the Unitary Authority of Bristol. The 'top' is actually in the field over the hedge at this point and on private land. Nothing much to look at or worth going to unless you are a Peak Bagger.

Hanging Hill at 237m is the County/Unitary High Point of South Gloucester at Not a bad little stroll. Not much by way of parking here. A trig pointed summit with good views.

From Hanging Hill, you get wonderful views that stretch over Bristol to the Severn Estuary and right into the heart of Wales if conditions are clear. A great battle of the Civil War, the Battle of Lansdown, was fought around this area on July 5, 1643.

Prospect Stile affords wonderful views over Kelston Roundhill and right across Somerset. In clear conditions, views stretch as far as the Black Mountains in Wales. There is a bench here to take in the breathtaking vista.

Worth the leisurely climb from Kelston or from Weston (Bath). There are a few gates to get through and climb over. Recommend visiting during quieter times of the day/week as it seems to be popular with walkers (generally polite). The route towards the Lansdown Golf Course has tall gates which you have to lift your bike over - not too much a problem with a lightweight bike. There's a signpost with directions to the local cheese shop and cafe!

From the summit of Knowle Hill, you get lovely views over Chew Lake and the rolling Mendip Hills AONB. There's a bench on the summit, perfectly placed so you can enjoy the view.

The second stop on the Three Peaks trail, Knowle Hill has gorgeous panoramic views of the Chew Valley. Keep your eyes peeled for wild deer!

Striking hill that can be seen from many parts of Bristol and Bath. By the way, also impressively from the plane. Accordingly, the view from above on the closer and further environment is very rewarding. As an additional tip: there are very nice restaurants nearby.
