The USN P22 is a historic patrol boat originally built by the United States in 1952 during the Cold War and later transferred to the German Navy. Now managed by the USN P22 Trust, the gunboat is moored at Sandwich Quayside in Kent and serves as a floating museum and visitor centre1. Visitors can take guided tours, both on the River Stour and on board, giving a glimpse into life for the crew during the Cold War. The P22 is a unique piece of maritime history and offers a fascinating insight into the military and nautical heritage of the era.

At the end of the pier is a restaurant/cafe

Deal Pier is an important local landmark that offers excellent views of the Deal Sea and features a glass-walled cafe/restaurant at the end. It is internationally recognized as a fishing location. The pier is the last fully intact recreational pier in Kent. It is the third pier in existence in Deal and was opened in November 1957 by the Duke of Edinburgh.

Large Norman church that’s undergone some changes. Quiet grounds with shady areas.

Wind swept with a small cafe on the end . Not for cyclists as they in force the no bikes on the pier rules with force.
