It's astonishing how popular homing pigeons are in Chiang Mai. Laughing, people embrace each other, united in their love for this breed of pigeon, and distribute food crumbs together, filming each other and snapping photos for those sadly back home. The flock of homing pigeons here is only too happy to pose with its fans (and its food).

The elevated bike paths are great fun. Though narrow and in some areas without any railings. So you better be comfortable riding in narrow conditions, specially when you have oncoming traffic.

Nice cafe and restaurant that is accessible both from the park, and the bike path running alongside the park. They offer coffees, cold drinks and some food.

This is animal cruelty. The elephants are chained and people can ride them. They show signs of stress and discomfort. Please do not support this!

Considering I cycle with bags in front and back this ride was a huge challenge. Some parts up to 15% slope. Not much traffic and there are some places through the national park where you can eat and drink.

Here you can get super delicious roti in the morning, it doesn't get more authentic than that. But be careful: the beach closes when everything has been eaten.
