The waterfall itself is not that spectacular, but the way to get there is quite nice. We went on Sunday and there were a lot of locals, mostly in sandals or flip-flops.

The best way to get here is with a Russian truck, but only with an all-wheel drive vehicle. 300 m further is the Karakol Base Camp, also for overnight stays. We hiked from camp to Ala Kul Lake and back in one day.
