The crossing of the Gede-Watamu road with Kanani Rd at Bluebay is somewhat the geographic center of Watamu, though the more popular areas are to the east and west of there; not much is going on a this crossroads itself.

A gravel road leads to the Artisan market. Right next are metalworkers workshops showing the ancient primitive but effective techniques of extracting ore and manufacturing metal tools and objects. Today here mostly for souvenirs and ornaments. A few steps south leaf to the steep edge of the gorge. A trail to descend down is further to the west.
