Small shop but has everything you could want. £1 card limit is a godsend when you forget to buy water. Believe there is an instant coffee machine if you need a warm up but plenty of sugar on sale!

There are 2 locks on the River Ancholme: South Ferriby Lock at the confluence with the River Humber and Harlam Hill Lock upstream of Brandy Wharf.

Julian Bower is a great example of a well preserved turf maze with its sunken form demonstrating its great age. It is thought that the maze was cut by Spalding Priory before 1220. It is one of few surviving turf mazed believed to be from the medieval period.

Julian's Bower is a name which was given to turf mazes in several different parts of England. Only one of this name still exists, here at Alkborough in North Lincolnshire.

Old rope factory that is now a museum, it has a cafe as well. Worth a visit if you have time.

The Ropewalk was once a rope making factory, Hall’s Barton Ropery, dating back to between 1800 and 1803. The Grade II listed building, which stretches a quarter of a mile along the length of Barton Haven, now houses the The Ropewalk arts centre and Museum containing displays, artifacts and other memorabilia associated with the history of the factory and its workforce. It also has a great little cafe and is well worth a visit.

Where the non tidal River Ancholme meets the humber, controlled by lock gates and a draw bridge for boat access to the local marina. Ferriby Sluice is a hamlet situated near the lock complex on the Humber and River Ancholme, Lincolnshire, England. It is now part of the village of South Ferriby but once stood alone in its own right. The operational Cement works adjacent to the sluice is currently owned by CEMEX (A Mexican Company) but has been through many different owners during it time and is a key contributor to the local community, many of its raw materials are sourced locally, some of which is conveys on a conveyor belt from the quarry a few miles away. https://www.cementkilns.co.uk/cement_kiln_ferriby.html

The Ropewalk is a vibrant arts centre housed within a former rope factory. Free to enter, the Grade II-listed structure has galleries, a sculpture garden, cafe, and even hosts live music, workshops, theatre and film.
