Much is still under construction there. However, one or two beautiful old buildings (apparently listed as historical monuments) can still be admired directly by or under the bridge.

Very delicious food and superb service! The restaurant was busting with customers on a Saturday late afternoon until late into the night. They served us ouzo as we ordered our drinks but this was way too strong for me. I got an espresso at the end instead. They also informed us as we ordered that they only accepted cash. That was helpful as we hardly carry enough cash with us. There is a carpark next to the restaurant so getting there is quite convenient.

Little traffic, usually enough space for one car and one bicycle in oncoming traffic.

top hardly any traffic road

The bike path is actually well-paved, but unfortunately, it ends in the middle of a field toward Altefähr. Definitely not suitable for racing bikes. We were also cursing quite a bit with our bikes carrying luggage.

If the ship were open you could visit the outside decks for 4 euros. Today on January 15th, 2025 the Gorch Fock I was unfortunately closed
