There are countless hiking trail signs. But there are some funny exceptions. This one deserves the "particularly humorous" label.

Château d'Aigle is a true eye-catcher. Together with the Vaud Alps and the lush green vineyards, it forms the perfect backdrop.

The church is a real eye-catcher. Its architecture and numerous stained-glass windows, which create beautiful light reflections in the sunshine, are particularly eye-catching.

Founded in the early 18th century, the parish of Leysin became independent in 1702, led by refugee pastor Charles Bourdin. The first services were held in a rectory located on Place Louis Favez, built the same year, before the construction of the current church.

Aigle flourishes at the foot of the Vaud Prealps, at the crossroads of the Rhône and Grande Eau valleys, in a region where vineyards meet mountains. Its medieval heart houses the arcades of Jerusalem Street, and fountains and sculptures can be discovered in the Cloître, Fontaine, Chapelle, and Bourg districts. Overlooking the town, Aigle Castle, built at the end of the Middle Ages, has housed the Vine and Wine Museum since 1976.

The Eagle Fountain in the eponymous village is also located on the beautiful "Aigle Fountains Walk" route. An easy 90-minute route of less than 6 kilometers with an elevation gain of approximately 130 meters. A great place to go in summer and with the family! 🤗

The monastery church, first mentioned in writing in the 12th century, has been Protestant since the Reformation.
