This is the football grounds for Alderton Village. There are benches and Picnic tables.

Lovely village pub with a huge beer garden and good food... one of my goto ride stops.

This old bridge sits over the remnants of an old regional railway line that used to run to/from Towcester and join up with the Northampton to Bedford line near the Yardley Hastings ammo depot. The tracks themselves are long gone but peering over the sides you can see the remains of the old track bed with trees either side going off into the distance.

Not much remains of the castle just some rather subdued earthworks

Good spot for a pick-nick, unfortunately no info on the church and graveyard

There is a ford just here - you can take the footbridge but this time I went straight though. It was quite deep and rocky so you don't want to stop and put your foot down. I made the mistake of coming down the hill at a pace and forgot to change down before slowing and entering the ford, which has a bit of a steep exit, so I nearly didn't make it through.

Someone has thoughtfully placed a bench here - its about half way round the tour - ideal for a lunch stop.
