Fantastic views over Cambridgeshire

The bridge connects Coe Fen with Sheep's Green and Lammas Land. It replaced a chain ferry in 1910 and was reconstructed in 2006 after some serious deterioration of the bridge's condition.

Haslingfield is a charming, thriving village in South Cambridgeshire. It has two beautiful churches, a number of quaint properties, and a pleasant, serene village ambience. The village easily dates back to mediaeval times, and even Queen Elizabeth I stayed here back in 1564.

A lovely cafe serving a selection of cakes and savouries - their scotch eggs!! They also serve breakfast sandwiches, frittatas and all the usual hot / cold drinks - their coffee beans are roasted locally, the fizzy drinks are from indie producers and there is a theme of sustainability running through everything they do. There is a lunch menu but I've not been late enough to see it! They also make celebration cakes to order!

Behind the pretty green cast-iron bridge "Sheeps Green Bridge" we are delighted to see a heron gliding around the legs of the grazing cattle. A man is standing by the tiny but crystal-clear "Vicars Brook" and fishing.
