Nice spot for a quiet rest as I cycle the country lanes into and out of Chester.

Service is a bit slow but they have a great selection of cakes

Only open at weekends - but the perfect spot for a sunny afternoon!

Just to confirm what Ian said above - don't get caught out! Same friendly service, just a new location. Very satisfied with a recent comprehensive service (approaching a refurbishment!) of my gravel bike. Runs like new again.

Lovely country pub with extremely local Weetwood beers (brewery is just down the hill)

It's nice to ride along the canal but he surface is quite bumpy and loose gravel. Luckily I have Gatorskins tyres on my bike but would recommend hybrid, gravel or mtb for this area of path

Decent little climb no to bad and only around 2-3km surroundings are beautiful god road surface. Take you time and enjoy.

Beeston Castle is a former Royal castle in Beeston, Cheshire, England, perched on a rocky sandstone crag 350 feet above the Cheshire Plain. It was built in the 1220s by Ranulf de Blondeville, 6th Earl of Chester, on his return from the Crusades.

Peckforton Castle is a Victorian country house built in the style of a medieval castle. It stands in woodland at the north end of Peckforton Hills one mile (2 km) northwest of the village of Peckforton, Cheshire, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building. The house was built in the middle of the 19th century as a family home for John Tollemache, a wealthy Cheshire landowner, estate manager, and member of parliament. It was designed by Anthony Salvin in the Gothic style. During the Second World War it was used as a hostel for physically disabled children.

Impressive cycle shop/workshop with a very good cafe doing decent coffee and cake. Always very friendly here. You can get some fantastic views from here, out over the Cheshire plain when the weather is clear

What to expect: 1) Some of the most beautiful scenery in the area, riding through the middle of the forest 2) One of the worst road surfaces I've come across. Please Cheshire West resuface this one

Lovely place for a quick stop...there's always plenty of birdlife on or around the pond. The ducks generally boss the place,so don't mess with them :-)

A brilliant place to stop mid ride. The area is safe, there's plenty of seating and places to lock a bike up, and the coffee and food are delicious. Tarporley is a beautiful place to sit and watch everything go by for a while

Great place to stop, especially on a sunny day. Lots of parking and places to leave your bike

Gorgeous route on perfect tarmac. The view of the castle gives good perspective on how far you've gone/still have left to go.
