체스터 시 최고의 사이클링 경로

채석장들 사이에 건설된 오래된 사유지 길/짐말 경로로, 가파른 경사면에서 씻겨 내려가지 않도록 사암 포석과 자갈로 만들어졌습니다.

한때 체스터의 슈퍼 하이웨이였던 4분의 1마일짜리 막다른 길입니다. 체스터 베이슨의 본선에서 3개의 갑문과 오래된 강 갑문을 지나 조수가 흐르는 디 강으로 이어집니다. 1779년 체스터와 미들랜드를 연결하기 위해 건설되었으나 비스턴에서 붕괴되었고, 엘즈미어 포트 덕분에 살아남았지만 쇼튼 제철소가 문을 닫으면서 폐쇄되었습니다. 지금은 자물쇠로 잠겨 있고 수풀이 우거져 완벽한 모습입니다. 보트로 2번 갑문을 통과하면 '실버 프로펠러'를 자랑할 권리가 주어집니다. 도보로 이동한다면, 운하가 본래의 길을 벗어나 강과 합류하려는 조용한 물길을 만날 수 있습니다.

The Wales Coast Path and National Cycle Network mostly share the same route across Denbighshire and Conwy, linking the major north Wales resorts of Prestatyn, Rhyl, Colwyn Bay and Llandudno and the walled castle town of Conwy. However, please note that the WCP and NCN follow different routes in a few places and, where this occurs, cyclists should follow the NCN rather than WCP logos. This is a very popular route with extensive views out to sea, along the coast, and inland to the Clwydian Hills, the Vale of Clwyd and the northern slopes of Snowdonia National Park.

The Wales Coast Path is a designated long-distance trail which follows, or runs close to, the coastline of Wales. It is 870 miles or 1,400 km long and was launched in 2012. The path is the first dedicated coast path in the world to cover the entire length of a country's coastline. The official start and finish points are on the border with the English city of Chester in the north and in Chepstow in the south. Popular with families/kids cycling in summer. watch out for small speed bumps in sections of path.
