According to the website of ANUAL e.V. (Asbacher Land Working Group for Nature and Environmental Protection), the association acquired this building in 1997. Since then, it has been renovated and redesigned with many hours of volunteer work by members and friends of the association. A "gem" that is second to none!

An idyllic spot along the Pfaffenbach stream, and the House of Nature run by the ANUAL Association (environmental and nature conservation) is also worth a visit!

<< The Windhagen Parish Church of St. Bartholomew >> "The Catholic parish church, built in 1869-70 according to reduced plans by Vincent Statz of Cologne, is the focal point of the town center. After its tower collapsed in 1871, it was rebuilt by Stumpf of Bonn in 1908. The current church building, a Gothic-style addition, was added to the old tower and extended by half a bay in 1908. During the World War of 1939/1945, the church was severely damaged. Bombs at the nearby airfield also completely destroyed its windows.
