The hill is named after St. Martin's Chapel. Unfortunately, it is not regularly open.

If you don't want to encounter retirees riding e-mountain bikes, avoid the weekend. During the week it's wonderfully quiet up there.

Further along the path, you'll have a view down to Sankt Märgen, where there's also a small mountain bike trail by the sports field 🤪

There are so many beautiful spots to enjoy in this area! You can see a lot of beautiful landscapes on a clear day :)

The inn is highly recommended. Note on the bus service: it has been discontinued since 2024 due to cost-cutting measures. The nearest bus stop on weekends is on Triberger Straße in Schonach, about 2.5 km away (note for hikers on the 7th stage of the Westweg: you only have to walk downhill). Bus 550 runs from there to Triberg train station, which connects to the Black Forest Railway.
