Love riding through this Village can get a little busy by the church. But it's very picture postcard.

The former grand estate at Marbury is now an expansive country park with miles of walking trails, an arboretum, children's play area and beautiful woodlands. There's also an outdoor swimming pool (members only).

A beautiful old village to ride through. Roads haven't been widened, traffic is light and it's really kept its charm. There's a slight hill in if you're coming from the west, but it's worth the effort!

Lovely old village. Be careful of a couple of tight corners and narrow streets entering and leaving the village. Nice pub for a quick stop too.

The Anderton Boat Lift is a tremendous feat of engineering that provides a 50 foot (15.2 m) vertical link between the River Weaver and the Trent and Mersey Canal. The structure was built in 1875 and was used for more than 100 years until it was closed in 1983 due to corrosion. Restoration started in 2001 and the lift reopened in 2002. The structure is designated as a scheduled monument.

Marbury Country Park boasts avenues of lime trees, an arboretum, a wildlife-rich mere, and even has an outdoor swimming pool (£8 for adults, £5 for children). The park is nestled within Northwich Community Woodlands, where former industrial land is gradually being reclaimed by nature. A lovely pub in the heart of Great Budsworth, the George & Dragon has been serving visitors since 1722. The pub is especially known for its fish which is delivered six days a week and bought over from Grimsby. The pub is open from 11am - 11pm Monday to Saturday and 11am - 10.30pm on Sunday.
