It does get busy around the visitors' centre and the Gruffalo trail. However, if you ride up Pale Hill and follow the perimeter of the forest, there are plenty of quiet trails to explore. Keep your eyes peeled for single tracks going through the forest, there lots of off-the-beaten-path routes to follow if you look for them.

Bit of a hidden entrance from the road to this little path that will get you on the Whiteway.

Beeston Castle is a former Royal castle in Beeston, Cheshire, England, perched on a rocky sandstone crag 350 feet above the Cheshire Plain. It was built in the 1220s by Ranulf de Blondeville, 6th Earl of Chester, on his return from the Crusades.

Nice little community run cafe on the Whitegate Way. Plenty of outside seating including some under cover.

The Nantwich Aqueduct, a Grade II listed bridge, stands as a testament to the vision of Thomas Telford, its construction being finalized in 1828. This aqueduct gracefully bears the weight of the Shropshire Union Canal, serving as the remarkable 'Gateway to Nantwich.' In 2015, restoration efforts were undertaken. This ambitious endeavour, secured victory in the restoration and historic environment category of the prestigious Canal & River Trust's Living Waterways Awards in 2016.

English Heritage maintained castle ruins sitting high on top of the hill. Like so much in the area it was destroyed in the Civil War.

The track down from Moulton (Niddries Lane) is a bit rough for a road bike, but not too bad if it's not wet and muddy

As a outsider and new comer from Hong Kong, this route is amazing. All woods cover the whole lane and won’t feel hot.
